Servus - I’m Heidi, a Munich local who loves her city and its traditions. Just like Oktoberfest. I’d love to take you to the old, historic part of this wild festival, where things are a bit quieter and more authentic. The historic chain carousel from 1919 is the oldest ride at the Munich Oktoberfest. The historic funicular railway from 1939 whisks you to paradise at 40 km/h!
